High School Awards Ceremony

Last week, Sylvia received this lovely invitation.  Annah says she has received one every year of high school, yet this was the first and only one I've seen.

So we attended the ceremony this evening.  Principal Campbell opened the evening.

Sylvia received:

Math 2
Freshman Advanced English
Computer Science
Spanish 1
World History

Annah received:
Spanish 3
Junior Advanced English
U.S. History
Chemistry 2
Art 3

Math

And both were recognized for receiving High Honors (All A's) and serving on Student Council.

I decided to record what the English teachers said about all their award recipients this year, since they are always so well spoken. It was extra nice that they presented awards to my own kids! ;-)

I couldn't wait to hear the backstory about her future "life of crime," so she explained that Mr. Wyant always writes a couplet on the board before class every day. Today, someone added her name to the board, and a discussion ensued about how she is so smart and such a good kid that she could probably "get away with murder" and no one would ever catch her.  Then the discussion just steamrolled from there into the details of her potential criminal lifestyle. Ha!

RHS Student Council

Both Annah and Sylvia work very hard at their school work and are at the top of their classes.
Of course we are super proud of them both. We are grateful for the great education they are receiving at Ridgeview, both academically and other life skills as well.
