We slept in this morning and didn't even make it out of the room early enough to get breakfast. Jeremy brought me a yummy coconut frappuccino from the Coco Cafe this morning. It was a yummy little thing.
Jeremy turned the TV on while we were getting around to leave the room, and found our favorite show on! FRIENDS is still funny, even with Spanish subtitles!
We went to the beach late morning. My part line of my scalp got sunburn yesterday, so it was time to bust out the big floppy beach hat today. I feel like an old lady, but I kind of like the hat itself. Jeremy is not so sure about it.
And, honestly, he looks better in it than I do.
We went back to Oceana for lunch today. Can't beat that fresh guacamole and salsa.
I had another squid salad too.
And, I decided to order the catch of the day. Quite an interesting presentation!
Jeremy had the grouper. Much more tame for the guy who doesn't like seafood.
While we were eating, Jeremy looked really surprised and said, "Hey that's the guy from SVU!" He was sure Christopher Meloni was walking by. We saw him later this afternoon though, and it wasn't actually him.
We spent the afternoon on the beach--our happy place!
We are trying not to be sad that we have to leave tomorrow.

We did put on our goofy water socks and walked carefully out into the water for a while. We've seen a couple people need a medic on the beach this week, probably for cuts or jellyfish stings. Since we didn't have snorkel gear, we just enjoyed the water and the sand.

We decided to get dressed up again and go back to Bordeaux for our last evening here.
We stopped at a bench near our room and tried to take some selfies.
A nice couple came around the corner and saw us looking goofy trying to take our picture and offered to take some for us. I love it when people do that.

We went to Bordeaux just before 6pm, and realized there was no one there. We figured out it opened at 6:30. We had heard the view was amazing from the sky bar, so we decided to find it and check out the view for ourselves. It was true...
I finally got a chance to snap a picture of the beautiful glistening tile wall in the open-air lobby. The photo doesn't do it any justice, but it is most beautiful at the golden hour of sunset.
On our way up to the Sky Bar we were talking to some folks who were also planning to go to Bordeaux for dinner, and they said it wasn't open. We realized it is closed on Sundays. So, we decided to try Windows, which is the other restaurant that requires elegant dress for dinner. We hadn't been there at all this week, so it was the perfect time to go.
We both have admitted we've missed having snacks this week, so we decided to order appetizers, salad, and dessert along with our main dishes tonight! They serve small portions here, so it's all good, hee-hee.
I had a stuffed portobello mushroom appetizer which was delicious. Jeremy had beef carpaccio. We didn't know what that was until after it came and he ate some. It is fresh beef, pounded very thin, and in this case marinated in truffle oil and crusted with pepper. We decided it was good, but we were too nervous about raw beef to finish it once we realized exactly what it was.
They gave us fresh limes in our water. Very refreshing.

I had a lovely caprese salad, always a favorite.
Jeremy is a happy man when he gets a ribeye. I had chicken stuffed with bleu cheese and spinach on risotto. The food here has been pretty and very tasty too.
We had told our server we were getting sad about having to leave tomorrow, and this is how he brought out my tiramisu... So sweet. It tasted fabulous too.
After dinner, we walked out on the beach and down the pier to the gazebo. We'd gone out there during the daylight, but didn't take any pictures. On our way down the pier, I asked a couple if we could trade pictures...I would take some of them if they would take some of us. They were more than happy to oblige.

As we walked back to our room, Jeremy asked a lady who was walking through the plaza if she would mind taking a picture of us by the fountain. I had taken a picture of it nearly every time we passed through here, and had mentioned that I wanted a picture of it lit up at night. Jeremy was so thoughtful to ask someone for me, especially when I know all my constant picture-taking annoys him sometimes. It really was a sweet gift he gave me by doing that.
My heart is so full of love and gratefulness--for this man, for our marriage, for our family, for this trip, for our life together. This vacation has been full of thankful prayers and wonderful moments. We will never forget it.
We returned to our room to find we had received turndown service. Very nice.
It really has been an unforgettable time.
