Caeden is always dancing.

I asked Jeremy to get me a pair of bluetooth headphones, and Caeden wanted to try them out.

Yesterday, Sylvia took an old pair of Jeremy's jeans and made them fit her, then painted and doodled on them!

Jeremy bought 3 new puzzles at Meijer, and Annah finished one today!

Our friend Tracie sent me some photos of books she was giving away, and I chose some I thought our family might enjoy.  JEREMY IS READING FOR THE FUN OF IT!!!  It has been YEARS since I've seen him enjoy a book for relaxation, and it makes me so happy!

Quilt from Gram

Krampa and Gram are here for Annah's graduation weekend, and presented her with gifts this afternoon while we had a little time at home.

For over a year, Gram has been working on a very special quilt for Annah. She knew Annah's love of the vivid colors of sunsets and the the beach, and she designed and made a quilt called "Sunset on the Beach" especially with her love of them in mind.

Annah was completely surprised...

...and amazed!

The sandy fabric at the bottom (the beach) has footprints on it to represent the poem

Footprints In The Sand

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed

he was walking along the beach with the LORD.

Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.

For each scene he noticed two sets of

footprints in the sand: one belonging

to him, and the other to the LORD.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him,

he looked back at the footprints in the sand.

He noticed that many times along the path of

his life there was only one set of footprints.

He also noticed that it happened at the very

lowest and saddest times in his life.

This really bothered him and he

questioned the LORD about it:

"LORD, you said that once I decided to follow

you, you'd walk with me all the way.

But I have noticed that during the most

troublesome times in my life,

there is only one set of footprints.

I don't understand why when

I needed you most you would leave me."

The LORD replied:

"My son, my precious child,

I love you and I would never leave you.

During your times of trial and suffering,

when you see only one set of footprints,

it was then that I carried you."

It's rainy, so we have been finding stuff to do inside.  I told Caeden to go find the card game Pit in the dresser in Travis' old room.  We were pretty surprised that every card was still there in this deck from 1983!

I think the kids' favorite thing to watch on TV at Krampa's and Gram's is the cooking channel!

After church today, we all went to Brevins for lunch!  It was so good!

Gram is helping Sylvia make a quilt while we are here!

She chose navy/blues, white, and gold fabrics and a chevron pattern.

It will be a twin size quilt when it's finished.  She already has each row sewn together. 
I think it's gorgeous!

Annah wanted to learn how to bake bread, so she and Gram looked up a recipe today and made some!  It was ready at about 11pm tonight.

Man did it smell good!

And it tasted soooo yummy!

I love that the girls enjoy learning life skills like sewing and baking!  And I love that they get to do them with their Gram!!!

All day at Krampa's and Gram's

We hung out at Krampa and Gram's all day today and relaxed!

Yesterday at JoAnn's the girls bought cardboard letters and glitter. Today they had craft time decorating them in the sun!

There was swimming, of course!

I worked on Mom's shawl while watching the kids swim, then had to take out a few rows later because I'd been concentrating more on the kids than the crochet. 

These guys were WIPED OUT after all that swimming!!!

Annah and Mom made a rhubarb crisp for supper.  It went over pretty well, so I grabbed the recipe!

Annah got TOO MUCH sun today!!!

Mom and Sylvia got started on the dresses.

Caeden and Sylvia went for a night swim.
