Gone Fishin' and Shoppin'

The guys went fishing this morning!  It took a little bit to outfit Jeremy and Caeden with "fitting" and fishing-appropriate clothes.

We ladies went to Glenbrook Mall in Fort Wayne.  I had promised Annah for her birthday (8 months ago!!!) she could get her ears triple pierced, so I finally made good on it today.

She is pretty happy with the results.

Always fun to shop with Aunt Erin and cousin Tess!!!

Jeremy and Travis were playing Wii Mario Kart when we returned.

Gram was making us tacos for supper!!!

Storytime with Jeremy

We decided to check out the new ice cream place in 'Busco!  Tess went with us, and Caeden went with Travis and Erin and the boys.

We played with Snapchat filters on the way!  Toooooo funny!

Apparently it only filters 1 or 2 faces at a time, not 3.

So many choices of hard ice cream at Otto's!

Caeden ordered a lemon poppyseed shake!

What a wonderful full and fun day!

Uncle Travis took Annah, Ryan, Tessa, Bryce, and Grayson fishing this morning!

He even showed Ryan how to filet a fish!

I had rehearsal early this morning, until around noon.  I came home and ate and took a nap.  Jeremy, Sylvia, and Caeden had made it here, and all the kids were swimming after lunch.  Then they all "layed out."

Sweet Saturday

This morning, Jeremy bought 2 dozen assorted doughnuts and 2 dozen blueberry donut holes from Egolf's IGA.  While we definitely don't need them, man, they are the best! 

The guys went fishing all morning and half of the afternoon today.  Jeremy caught a big ol' catfish!

Dad and I put the lattice sections back in the bottom of the gazebo while Caeden took a swim.

The girls and Erin and Tessa and I took a quick trip to ALDI. After lunch, Gram and her granddaughters baked 3 kinds of muffins.

There was a tea party in the gazebo.

We had pizza from Papa's Place for supper!

Then we met G'ma and G'pa L at DQ for treats!  They had Lucy with them!

Family Fishing

We went fishing this afternoon, and it was a wonderful, beautiful time.

Annah caught a lot of baby bluegills.

Sylvia caught a big catfish.  It was a couple feet long, and she struggled for several minutes to reel it in while it was swirling down to the bottom of the pond and fighting her the whole time.  Krampa and Uncle Travis helped her get it out of the water.



She said her arms felt like spaghetti after all that cranking!

We watched Dad fish for bass in the shade across the pond.

Krampa caught a big bass over there on his own across the pond!  It was a very exciting moment!  

Uncle Travis, thank you for giving your afternoon to take us fishing!

So grateful for this day.
