This evening, Sylvia picked up Hunter and they watched LaLa Land. Such a beautiful (and sad!) movie.
I made chicken stir fry with fresh veggies and we all wolfed it down.
After supper, the boys got out the N64.
They even got Sylvia to play pro wrestling!

I placed an order for some popcorn kernels, some spicy microgreens and a micro green growing kit from our friends at Finding Eminence Farm, and I enjoyed some beautiful poached egg avocado toast with micro greens this morning for breakfast. So yummy and pretty!
Sylvia is hanging with her cousins this week, and they are having lots of fun. Sometimes the girls will send us videos and pictures.
Last weekend, Mom and I checked out the chickens. They are kind of like teenager chicks now. The roosters are starting to try to crow.
The Gordman's in Columbia City is having closing sales, so Erin, Tessa, Annah, Sylvia, and I went over one afternoon last week. Caeden wanted to go, but there wasn't enough room in the car. So, Sylvia and I shopped for him. He was pretty stoked about the things we picked out for him, including this denim jacket and Kodak shirt. Uncle Travis explained to him what 24 exp. meant.
I walked the track with Dawn while the sun set like this around us tonight. Wow!
I came home to these 3 with scripts in hand, acting out the entire show of Guys and Dolls. They even recorded 48 minutes of it.
Jeremy enjoys watching Caeden play Fortnite, but hadn't tried it due to not being familiar with all the [many!] buttons/joysticks/motions on the Xbox controller. Caeden found a photo explaining all the different parts of the controller and printed it out for him to learn, and they sat down today to play together. It was fun to watch them have that time together.
We were missing Annah today and sent her a selfie while having a quick lunch at McDonald's.
And Caeden won a Fortnite Battle, which is a pretty big deal for him.

This is what Caeden looks like a lot of the time this summer. Well, not necessarily this outfit--Jeremy brought him back some cool NCC gear from the golf outing, and new wrestling shoes too! He doesn't want to take them off. But the screenface and headphones are pretty consistent.
Annah and Caeden played some Wii Sports today. Then they broke the Wii. Such a bummer!!!
Sylvia finished her driving lessons with her instructor this week, and is working to complete her 50 hours of driving with a parent so she can take her driving test to get her license! She's getting very close. It is not good for a momma's nerves.
As always, our worship set was a very fun one today at PoC.
Our sermon series right now is called PolitiGOspel, and it's about why Christians should be involved in politics. It is very interesting and SO, SO good!!!
Velocity youth group continued the discussion this afternoon.
There was time for silly and fun stuff too...like, this happened...
Jeremy and Caeden played some Mario Kart this afternoon when the kids got home!

The elementary school posted this reminder on their Facebook page today, but I texted it to the kids because I feel like teenagers need this reminder just as much! ;)
Play rehearsal is happening behind the curtain this week, as the gym is needed for sports practices. Sometimes it is hard to share.
This group is pretty tight-knit.
I love seeing these guys hanging out together. Jeremy is playing Caeden's new UFC game with him. Caeden may be beating repeatedly him this time, but I'm sure Dad will catch up soon!
We got letters from the girls today!!! They wrote them Sunday or before, but it sure sounds like they are loving Blue Lake! I'm so relieved and happy for them!
Caeden's friend Loren has started taking piano lessons with me this summer, and today he stayed after his lesson and hung out with Caeden all day! They played some Xbox (He really liked Battlefront.) and Wii Sports and Mariokart.
They also had a Nerf battle in the house after lunch. In the afternoon and evening, we went to SF Park!
We all had fun doing mini-golf, even though we were terrible!
They got in a few games of tetherball!
Loren won 2 out of 3.
They tried out the clay tennis court.
The geese are taking over the whole park--and the whole city, actually! And they are not nice!
They hissed at us!
Basketball was next!
Almost too big for the slide, but not quite!
We got some McDonald's for these hungry teenage boys, then hit the pools! They tried out the lazy river first. Then, we actually closed out the park, leaving at 8pm.
