Caeden's trip to the Dells
Caeden was invited to go to the Wisconsin Dells for 3 days with his wrestling buddy, Cal, and his family!
He was pretty excited on Wednesday morning when we went to meet Cal and his Dad.
Cal's parents, Jason and Niki, texted us photos during their trip. Cal's sister Josie took a friend with her too.

They got right to the indoor water park action when they arrived!
We got a report that Caeden needs to work on his driving skills!

Winter Jam
The girls went to WinterJam with the youth group today and took some of their Ridgeview friends!

They even had entertainers for the long line to get into the concert!
And the kids entertained themselves too, of course...

They all had a great time and said it was an awesome concert!

College Visit to Olivet
All five of us spent the day at Olivet Nazarene University today for Annah's college visit.
Since it is spring break for a lot of high schools, the Admission Office was very busy!
After being welcomed in the beautiful admission office, we sat in on a 9am Harmony I (music theory) class.
Annah found it very interesting. We loved it when the professor prayed at the end of class!!!
Back at the Admission Office, Annah received a cool Olivet t-shirt.
While we waited to meet with an admission counselor, Annah and Jeremy reviewed the information folder she'd been given.
We had a great tour of campus with 2 student guides, Mya and Amber, both transfer nursing students.
We always love walking around this place!
(And they hadn't gotten the snow, even though they're north of us!)

We ate lunch in the main cafeteria with our tour guides, and had some great talks.
After lunch, we went to an info session with Olivet's new music recruiter. Annah was the only student there interested in majoring in music, but we learned that the audition process is the same for both music majors and participants.
We sat in on a Concert Singers rehearsal. Apparently there are about 20 singers in this group, but today there were 8 present. Dr. Woodruff invited Annah to sing with them, and she really enjoyed that. We were excited, because we didn't know this type of group existed at Olivet! They sang some jazz standards, some cool hymn arrangements, Over the Rainbow, and an arrangement of a Sandi Patty song!
Next, we sat in on an orchestra rehearsal. Dr. Woodruff was also the conductor of this orchestra. He was very generous to talk with us multiple times before and after the rehearsals, and even went back to his office to give Annah his business card so she could contact him directly with any questions. We would love for her to be in any of his classes!
One of the concert bands rehearsed in the auditorium after the orchestra, so we stayed to watch some of their rehearsal as well. The director was under the weather, but didn't want to give up a day of rehearsal. They played a hymn for their warm up, and they sounded wonderful. It was so awesome to see every professor open and/or close classes and rehearsals with prayer!!!
We went to the bookstore to get some Olivet gear before it closed. Annah picked out a cool retro hoodie, Sylvia some knit pants, Caeden a sock hat, and Jeremy a long sleeve t-shirt. I'm waiting to get my Olivet Mom shirt. ;-)
When we left the bookstore, it was raining. We stopped for a quick second in front of the Admission Office, and I asked Annah to show me what she thought of Olivet...2 thumbs up!
I can definitely see Annah being at home at Olivet, getting a wonderful education, and doing great things. We will see where God directs her!
