Family Portraits

As part of my parents' 50th wedding anniversary gift, Travis and I promised we would hire a professional photographer to come out to the farm to take a family portrait of all twelve of us. Today was the day, and the fabulous Aimee C did an excellent job!  She worked so quickly and efficiently, and it only took about half an hour! (We were all very thankful, because it was crazy hot and humid!!!)

Wrigley

My parents got a dog, and we got to meet him this weekend!  His name is Wrigley.

He is without a doubt THE calmest dog I've ever seen.  He doesn't jump up on people, and he even gets to have a bed inside the house!

Annah, who has always wanted a dog, is smitten too.

But he is Dad's dog.  And he knows it.

After about a day and a half of 12 of us constantly being in his usually pretty quiet space, he got a little irritated.  When Dad tried to take him to his crate in the garage, he pretended he didn't know what he was talking about...

He really is such a sweet, sweet, doggie, and the perfect addition to the family.

New Site

We are dog-sitting this weekend for our neighbors' darling little doggie, Peppers. She's so cute!

This morning, Pastor Todd surprised us and called Jeremy and me forward to present us with gifts and say all kinds of way-too-kind things about us.  We are blessed to be part of our wonderful church family, and it is a great privilege to be part of the staff as well.

For the past several months I've been working on creating our new church website, www.poc.church, and it launched today.  I've really enjoyed working on it, and hope it will be a great resource for our congregation.

2 weeks old

     Sylvia had her 2 week well-baby visit today.  Mom and I took the girls, and even with her help, we were still 20 minutes late.   I forgot that there are TWO  kids now, and I need to allow twice as long  for everything! ;)   Anyhow, Sylvia's appointment went very well.  She weighed 9 pounds, 7 ounces--a whole pound more than her birth weight already!  Guess that good ol' breastmilk really is "liquid gold"!  She measured 21 1/2 inches long too.  
     

Mom picked out a pretty cream color of paint and she and I started painting Sylvia's room yesterday. It's looking really nice so far!

     

There is another new addition to the McEowen family... Welcome to Travis and Erin's new puppy--Tiller!  We're looking forward to meeting him--or at least seeing pictures soon!
