We woke up early on purpose this morning, in order to finish packing and get around and enjoy the part of the day we have here. We are both kinda sad we have to leave today. It has just been such a perfectly wonderful time; we don't want it to end.
We did leave our swimsuits out for the morning, so we could enjoy the beach some more. I enjoyed some hammock time while Jeremy went to the gym.
He brought us both back frosty coffees today.
We went to breakfast, and I had been looking at the leaves on these banana trees all week...But I hadn't noticed the bunches of green bananas on it!
Our last breakfast overlooking the water...
Goodbye palm trees.
Oh the fruit!
Goodbye pelicans.
As we sat on the beach after breakfast, dark clouds rolled in...
If we had one complaint about the resort, it would be that smoking is allowed in outdoor areas. And, more people than we would have imagined take advantage of the opportunity. Personally, we don't enjoy breathing in second hand smoke, so that has been annoying.
But, they even make the ash/sand buckets pretty...
As the sky got darker and darker, we decided we would go back to our room in case rain came.
In the plaza, there is a photography shop, Coco Cafe...
...a jewelry store, a shop with Mexican art, a souvenir shop...
I was taking pictures every few steps, wanting to take it all home with us...

Our room is pretty messy as we get ready to leave...
I like this design on the cushy chair in our room.
As we sat on our little patio, it did begin to rain.

It rained a gentle, then steady rain for a while. It did help us not feel quite as bad leaving. We went to check out, but still had time before we needed to leave for the airport.
We went for one last lunch at Oceana.
It's still beautiful, even when it's gray and rainy.
I had shrimp tacos. They were the only spicy thing we had all week.

Time to leave...We got in the taxi van and pulled away.
This taxi driver did not take us through downtown Cozumel on the way back to the airport. I tried to take some pictures out the window nonchalantly.
A private school was letting out.
Things were not as beautiful in the city as they were on the resort.
But the colors are beautiful.
There were a lot of scooters on the road, and we were nervous for them. The traffic was crazy.
Cozumel Airport
Going through Customs was simple here. We had 2 hours once we checked in before they called for us to board. We stopped in a little gift shop and bought the girls wooden bracelets, an iguana keychain for Caeden, and a hand-woven Mexican blanket. Our souvenirs were less than $25.
We flew into Dallas, and had to wait in many lines to get through customs and security. We had to get our checked bag from the baggage claim, have it inspected, and re-check it. Then we had to take the skylink train all the way to the other end of the airport to board.
Riding the skylink (which made me think of the monorail at Disney World) took 20 minutes. Dallas airport is HUGE!!!
Our plane left Dallas around 8pm, just about sunset time. It's a different sunset than the one over the ocean, but still pretty nice.
We landed in Indy about 11:30pm and called the shuttle from the hotel where our car was parked. Jeremy drove us to my parents' place, and we got there around 3am. So exhausted, but so full of love and thankfulness.
