Velocity Egg Toss

I provided snack for Velocity today, and decided just to stay at church during youth group and work on blocking for play this week.  We planned to take Chex Mix, but they were out at Meijer so we made our own mix of Cheetos, Cheddar Sunchips, pretzels, and Doritos.  That was pretty good, I have to say!  I also cut up apples and took little caramel dippers.  Apparently, it was a good snack, because they ate almost all of it!

As I was working in the conference room, I saw the group appear outside behind the building with eggs!  So, as they lined up, I had to head outside for a few pics!

 I also got to hear Zac's message to the teens today as I cut up more apples to refill the tray.  He spoke to them about the condition of the heart.  

Homecoming Dance

The girls went to the homecoming dance tonight and had so much fun!

Jillian arrived this afternoon to get ready with the girls.  As I got ready to take pictures, Jeremy joked that they probably didn't want this card that was on the mantel in the pictures.  But, of course, they did!

Such pretty hair these girls have!  I had fun doing Annah's and Sylvia's with hot rollers.  Sylvia added braids to the side of Annah's, and I don't think we even got a picture of it.  Jillian did her own hair!

We drove to McGraw Park for pictures with everyone together. James met us there.

James' sister Grace was meeting friends at the park for pictures too, 

so we asked her to be in some too.

There was an actual line for space to get photos at the fountain!  And a wedding party that was trying to get portraits was not very happy about all of the homecoming kids crawling all over the park.  

The kids had dinner at Flat Top, and the other 3 of us went to HyVee Market Grill with Todd, Kim and Samuel.  

I went up to the school at 9:30 for the Coronation ceremony, and everyone seemed to be having a great time at the dance.  

 There were a lot of kids there, and they all came from one gym to the other to watch the coronation.

Not all the members of the court were at the dance, and Ryan being king had to escort the queen into the coronation, so Annah, Adam, and Tate came in together.

The king and queen were handed the microphone to give the crowd "a word." Ryan said, "I love you all."  and I couldn't hear what Grace said.

After the dance was over at 11:00, a bunch of kids went to Ryan's house and he made pancakes for them all and they watched Spiderman.  Jeremy picked the girls up and brought them home around 2am!  They all said they had a lot of fun!!!
