I'm working on getting my substitute teacher license, and today I had an early appointment for fingerprinting and background check.  Then I took the Prius to get an oil change and tire rotation.  They have such a nice waiting area at our Toyota dealership; I don't mind sitting for more than an hour because I get to crochet.  Afterwards, I met the girls at the Music Shoppe to take their bows in to be re-haired.

They were just getting started on their sister shopping day!

They came home and showed us all their treasures...

Friends and Fiesta

Addie was down to surprise her parents at Reece's home track meet this week, and the kids got to see her because the girls were singing the anthem at the meet!

On Thursday after rehearsal, the girls went to the Spanish Club fiesta in the park.  SeƱora Lovitt too photos of Annah and Ryan trying salsa dancing.

Haha!  Ethan and Elijah

Love these lovely sisters!

Kyle and Cameron had voice lessons one right after another today!  Actually, we were running late getting Kyle's started after his piano lesson, and Cameron was early for his lesson, so we combined them and did a lesson together!  It worked out great, because they were both working on their vocal jazz audition piece.  Sylvia even stepped in at the end to add the alto part.  It was fun!
And these guys look like they could be brothers!

Last Day of Band Camp

Band camp has gone well this week, although Annah has suffered from heat exhaustion and dehydration the past couple days and had to take it easy.  She was pretty upset to be feeling awful, but stayed and did as much as she could.

The last day of band camp, the Music Boosters always provides lunch, and the student leaders give out dollar store trinket awards.

I arrived just in time to see Annah present the drum major awards.

Then it was time for water games!  Today it was very hot, so the water games were definitely a fun treat!!

The attention contest

After a few minutes, Mr. M allows the students who have been called out to try to distract those who are still holding attention.

Cup of water relay...so refreshing!

Sylvia was very strategic, wringing out her wet hair to try to fill the bucket faster.

The flute section is the bee's knees!

Addie and Allison came to watch parts of band camp this week!
Annah was so happy to see these dear friends!

Isabella and Sylvia got out...pop!

Getting ready for the jazz run...

Clearly, not everyone understands how to do a proper jazz run!  But, it looks like Sylvia has pretty good form!

The final march-off!

Warmup

{I must've unknowingly bumped the dial on my camera while looking up at Annah on the scaffolding, so all the rest of my pictures were very overexposed.  Ugh.}

The show this year is The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Marching band sisters!

A successful week, fun for everyone!

Let it go!

We are continuing to clean and sort E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G in the girls' room and closets. I really have no idea how they have fit so much stuff in there!!!  We have filled the back porch with bags of trash, the hallway with bins of keepsakes for the attic, and the den with items for donation.

Here are a few of the treasures we have come across that we have let go...

Sorting...

Caeden helped run a couple bags of trash downstairs for us.

Everything from the furniture to the floor is getting cleaned with the Shop-Vac and Magic Eraser sponges.  We also cut the carpet that was in the girls' room in half and put half in their closet that didn't have carpet.

I think the girls are going to like having a lot less stuff in their room--and more room for relaxing!
