Happy new year! We did nothing "special" last night to ring in 2018. Church was canceled yesterday morning because of the bad weather/roads and extreme cold, so we hung out at home all day. We had some junk food and some chicken and rice soup, and watched a movie. Jeremy and I turned in early, but the kids stayed up watching FRIENDS and doing a puzzle. I woke up around 12:15 and came back downstairs and told them to go to bed. That was our excitement around here.
It is ridiculously COLD. Look at that "Feels Like" windchill temperature!!!
We spent much of the day today continuing to clean out the girls' room. We also took down and put away all the Christmas decorations. This evening, we had some ham and beans, then settled down for a little bit of Skip-Bo.
The kids worked on a puzzle while we watched the first Harry Potter movie.
