Sylvia's 3rd grade class had their field trip today. They went to our local Children's Discovery Museum. Though we've been there several times, Sylvia wanted both Jeremy and me to go along; so we did. It seemed like we were just there with this class for their kindergarten field trip! The kids didn't seem to care that they've been to the museum before; they were just excited for a field trip!
Eliza sat with Sylvia and me on the bus ride. They played several hand-jive games and sang silly songs with the kids sitting nearby.
Jeremy and I had a sweet group of girls--Isabella, Sylvia, Chloe, and Ella. This composting exhibit is always a big favorite with the kids.

The girls managed the box office for a few minutes.
We had an hour in the science lab classroom, and made 3 instruments to measure/predict the weather--an anemometer, a barometer, and a cloud window.
We ate lunch together in the party room.
After lunch, we spent most of our last hour on the first floor of the museum. Love the heartbeat drum...
These kids do a pretty good job of sharing responsibilities of cooking, serving, and cleaning up in the Avanti's play restaurant! Jeremy and I "ate" lots of play pizza, sandwiches, brownies, and doughnuts!
The girls spent quite a while shopping and checking out at the market.
And, they climbed and climbed inside this exhibit, which goes up all the way to the 3rd floor.
Sylvia made an imprint of herself!
