The girls wore the home jerseys for the game tonight, as the Mustangs played EPG at Lexington.  

It was an exciting win in the rain!

Today, we received a letter from Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp saying that Sylvia has been recommended by both the counseling staff and music faculty to participate in the international touring orchestra!  She has been accepted without audition, based on her performance at camp this past summer, and has also been awarded a scholarship!  

This is a really big honor, and really unexpected.  The touring groups were mentioned to students in the top ensembles at camp, but Sylvia said she didn't go to the informational meeting because she didn't think it would be a possibility for her to attend rehearsals in Michigan. So, they really sought her out to consider her for this opportunity.  We're not sure yet if she will be able to participate this year, but what an incredible honor to be chosen and recognized in this way!  

As always, we're pretty proud of our girl.  

The junior high school had an assembly during Advisory Period today, and the Students of the Month were announced.

Mrs. Jones nominated Caeden for the 8th grade, and had such nice things to say about him!

  

And he was chosen as the winner for 8th grade Student of the Month!  Way to go, Bud!  

We are proud of you!

It's been an exciting week for the kids, with each of them earning some wonderful honors.
