Over the past few weeks, Sylvia has been working really hard on her pyramid project for social studies class. She has done it completely on her own, following the rubric carefully. She didn't really enjoy the project, and we all found it stressful, but I think she did a good job. I'm really proud of her for doing it all on her own. She even hand-painted hieroglyphics on the inside of it, glued sand to the base, made tiny scenery and people to go in and around it and built the backdrop for the pyramid too. She also had to write an essay about how she made the pyramid. I thought it was pretty cool that she made it to open up.
She snapped a couple pictures of it with her iPod as she was working on it.
