Annah and Sylvia spent the last 4 days on the Experience Jesus (eJ) trip with their youth group.  Jeremy dropped them off at church early Thursday morning. There were 22 kids and 7 youth workers ready to roll out.

But first they prayed together.

Apparently, one of the chaperones ran over the donuts...Oops.

They drove off in 3 big vans...

And the teen girls got going on their selfies right away...

They stayed at Great Wolf Lodge.  Our girls thought it was amazing and loved the water rides and slides!

 

Friday, the girls were texting me from the park.  They were waiting for some crazy people in their group to go on the Xtreme Skyflyer.  I had them send me a selfie, since I was missing them.

Sylvia does not like roller coasters.  At all.  She tried one with the group and felt like she was going to puke.  She texted me, "I ain't goin' on nothin' but water slides and log rides from now on!"  But she did some other fun things too--like the carousel, and bumper cars.

The group had several worship services throughout their days together, and the theme for the trip was "Shields Up!"  

There is a villain, 

one more sinister,

more deceitful, 

and more destructive

than all the others.

The time has come to battle

to raise our shields

to conquer the villain

that lies within.

Only then

will we enter

the next Age of Faith.

"The Lord is my rock, fortress, deliverer, refuge, shield, salvation, stronghold. I called to the Lord who is worthy of praise and I have been saved from my enenemies." - Psalm 18:2-3

The group spent this morning working at The Well at Sunnyside.  They pulled weeds, picked up trash, cleared sidewalks, and worked hard to bring some new life to the grounds there, in the name of Jesus.

The girls were exhausted but happy when they got home tonight.  Good memories made, and relationships strengthened.  Thank you, Jesus.
