We made it to Greenville late last night and stayed at the good ol' Super8. We took shifts getting ready and going down to the hotel breakfast, then we all got in the Prius to make the 3 minute trip to campus...
This was Sylvia's and Caeden's first time on campus at Greenville.
Annah checked in and received her folder and schedule for the day.
She was in the Black group.
The first session we attended was the Residence Life seminar. She was given her roommate assignment and her roommates campus email so she could contact her. (She did contact her later in the day, after we were on the road. She is 23 and has her associate's degree, and now going to get her elementary education degree.)
Next we were scheduled for Financial Aid, but we already have everything squared away with that, so we enjoyed some air conditioning and a bathroom break instead. We checked to see if the bookstore was open, but it wasn't. We visited the coffee shop and got some frappuccinos.
We attended the FastTrack session, and verified that we everything squared away with that too.
Then we attending the schedule/advising seminar. It wasn't at all what I expected, but we did learn some important things. We learned that in their system, Annah didn't have a declared major for some reason, and her schedule needs a lot of changes. But now she knows who and how to contact about all of that, and she can get it taken care of well before New Student Orientation and classes.
It was a beautiful day on campus, and Annah feels like an "official" panther now!
After leaving campus, we went around the block to the closest bank
so Annah could open a checking account.

We went around another corner and enjoyed lunch at Joe's Pizza and Pasta.
A few more steps closer to sending Annah off to Greenville in August!
