Tobin's for Birthday Pizza

When Sylvia and I got home from the field trip, she opened the birthday cards she'd received in the mail.  "Grandma" Sandi (the kids' church grandma) sent her a really cool fairy card!



Jeremy asked her if she wanted to go out to a restaurant for supper on her birthday.  Of course she did, and her daddy let her choose anywhere she wanted to go.  She chose to use her birthday coupon  for a free pizza at Tobin's Pizza.  It's a ways away from our house, and only open in the evening, so we don't go there often.  A special treat, for sure.

Tobin's is a great local place.  It always feels to me like I'm walking back into the 1980's when we go.  Note the wood paneling and green shag carpet on the walls, and all the picture frames of customer photos.  It's a different sort of ambiance.


The kids got right to work on their activity books.  (Note the owner standing in the background of the photo, visiting with customers.  He greeted and seated us when we came in and probably visited every table that evening.)

What's a little shag carpet on the walls when you get pizza like THIS!?  Mmmmmm!!!!!


Sylvia wanted the deep dish...Ohhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!
