Today was a very full and wonderful day! Since there were parent-teacher conferences the last 2 evenings, there was no school today!
We had breakfast with our friend Señora Lovitt at Fort Jesse Cafe this morning! The food and conversation were all fabulous!
From there, Jeremy took Caeden up to DeKalb for the day to watch his 3 teammates, Braydon, Payton, and Danny compete in junior high state wrestling. Caeden got to stay with Coach Antonio and Evan to watch more tomorrow.
We girls went from the cafe to the mall to do some prom dress shopping! We started at Bergner's. Annah didn't see any dresses she liked in their small selection, but I had her choose 2 to try on just to get the trying on started. No go on either of them.
We then headed to Von Maur. As soon as we walked in, Sylvia spotted the formal gowns across the store. Almost immediately, Annah saw a dress in the color and style she was looking for. She picked up in 2 sizes. Sylvia found a couple gowns she wanted to try on just for fun. (She had a prom date, but he publicly berated her for her faith and laughed at her when she cried, so she decided she didn't want to spend her first prom with him!)
We went to the dressing room, and the first dress Annah tried on was THE one. It fit perfectly, and she looks beautiful in it, so we bought it. Sylvia also liked both of those she tried on too. It was a fun, quick process!
After finishing dress shopping so quickly, we went to the Dollar Tree to buy decorations for a baby shower we are helping throw next weekend. And candy. Dollar Tree has great candy.

We also met up with Tracie and Nola at Culver's for lunch and had such a lovely time with them! For some reason I didn't take a picture. But it was another blessing in our day to spend time with them!
In the afternoon, we went to Joyce's sister Gretchen's house for supper. Joyce made chicken and noodles and lots of yummy foods. She and Gretchen, Rich, and Ryan taught us how to play Sevens, and we played a few games.
Then Joyce drove all of us to Sherman to watch Allison sing in the first Greenville University Choir concert of their spring break From Darkness to Light tour. It was wonderful.
The concert started with the choir surrounding us in the aisles.
Allison sings in the main choir and also the chamber singers, as well as one of the worship teams. We were all very impressed with the choir and thoroughly enjoyed the concert.
(Annah and I also made sure to talk with an admission counselor from Greenville, as it is currently in her top 2 choices for college.)
It was so great to see Allison, and she was happy to see her family too.
We are all really proud of Allison, and so happy she is thriving at college too! What a beautiful evening, and great day FULL of blessings!
