Jeremy's brother Eric brought his family to visit us today! Though I spent most of the day at church practicing and preparing for Carol of the Pianos tomorrow, Jeremy entertained them. They played football outside with the neighbor boys, and watched Polar Express. When the movie was over, Aunt Marti read the story of Saint Nicholas to all the kids. She explained that they follow the tradition of each putting out a shoe at night before they go to bed to see if St. Nicholas is feeling generous to leave a little gift. Pretty much as soon as she finished explaining that my kids each had a shoe under the tree!

Yep, they were so excited to see them each filled with a gift in the morning! St. Nicholas left them each a candy cane and some big chocolate coins, as well as a really neat I Spy Christmas devotional book! Thank you, Aunt Marti, for sharing this tradition with us!

Well how about THAT?! Good ol' St. Nick left the SAME THING in our hotel room! My boys are loving the book. Some of those things are really tricky to find!
Thank you again for hosting us. It was short but so fun! (except for the vomit, of course!)
