Smash

Well good morning.  We had a grrreat morning this morning.  Not really.  When Jeremy went out to his car at 5:30 a.m. this morning to go to the gym, he found that his windshield had been smashed by a baseball bat or some other like object during the night.  How lovely.  We have no enemies that we know of that would do such a thing, and we don't live in a high-crime area.  Although, the very same thing happened to our next-door neighbors just last week.  Curious.

Our neighbors think it could be the kids who live diagonally behind them, as they are always setting things on fire on their picnic table or causing some kind of commotion in their backyard.  Our neighbors have asked these kids to stop setting things on fire and have gotten impolite responses, so they are the only suspects for now.  We also think these kids might be the same ones Jeremy asked what they were doing when they were standing in our front yard smoking pot last fall.  We can only assume that the same person(s) who smashed our neighbors windows smashed ours, but we have no proof as of yet.  What a lovely morning.  It sure will be nice to move to the country...

On a nicer note, some of our friends from college gave us a nice surprise yesterday.  We were invited to lunch at Matt & Suzanne's place with Cora & Josh, and were pleasantly surprised to see Mandy & Doug, Jen & Jonathan, Heather, and Shane there too!  The food was great, and it was so wonderful to be able to spend time with them all, and it is very hard to move away from such close friends.  But we do not say goodbye, rather, "See you soon..."

"Don't be dismayed at good-byes. A farewell is before you can meet again,
and meeting again after a moment or lifetime is certain for those who are friends."
