Vision Sunday

What a thoroughly exciting day God gave us at PoC today!!  It was Vision Sunday, and Pastor Todd shared the vision God has given us for uniting in Him this summer: Moving from Me to We @ PoC.  We have various groups of people--those who were part of the original launch team, those who were added to the launch team over the 6 months before we launched, those who came on launch day, those who came to the us since Easter, etcetera...But we want to be united as one body of Christ, one church--not in groups of various labels.  So, we have many activities planned for the summer where we will continue to grow together in Christ and continue to reach out to the community and our friends and family to join us.  It's very exciting!!

9 new members were received today, and 9 graduates from high school and college were honored in the service as well.

Following the service today, we all received the bright green shirts that say "From Me to We @ PoC."

Twelve people were baptized today!!

We had a wonderful all-church picnic too.

This afternoon there was an awesome kickoff meeting of our Pivot Youth Ministry!  These were some of the students promoted from PoC Kidz into Pivot Youth, including our Annah.  (Still in somewhat of a denial about the fact that she is old enough for youth group!)

In all honestly, the youth group has struggled a bit to get off the ground since we launched PoC, sometimes having only 2 teens.  But, Pastor Scott and his leaders have continued in prayer and in all their efforts, trusting God to bring the multitudes.  And today there were 18 teens for Pivot!  God is doing a great work and I know He will continue to transform these lives and use them for His glory!

We received a great information packet about the summer youth events, played a fun get-to-know-you game, had a great parent vs. teens scavenger hunt, and then the youth group met for their Sunday evening service.  Annah loved it, and is thrilled to be part.  We are excited for her too.

It's so amazing to watch God work!  He is doing great things at PoC and in the lives of this family!
