Homecoming Game

We got to the game early and watched the football team warm up for a bit while waiting for the pregame festivities.

Charlie, the exchange student from Sweden is a soccer player back home, but since we don't have a soccer team he is our kicker!  He's doing an awesome job!

Since we co-op with Lexington for football, and this is their homecoming game as well, their court was announced with ours.

Then the Ridgeview homecoming court was announced

Then the band and cheerleaders formed the spirit tunnel, while the football team was announced.

The band did their competition show at halftime!

Cecelia (Mr. M's daughter) came to watch the band tonight, and wanted to know why "that lady is dancing up there?" When he explained that Annah was conducting the band, she decided to work the crowd on her own.  She is such a cutie!

It was not the band's best performance, or the football team's best performance, but it was a fun night together with our Ridgeview fam after a great week of homecoming fun!

NCC

Annah got her acceptance packet from NCC today!

It includes a formal letter of acceptance, a personalized note from her admission counselor, and a certificate of the Presidential Scholarship!

Congratulations, Annah!!!

Spirit Days

The girls always love dressing up to participate in the spirit days during homecoming week!

Class Lip-Sync Battles and Pep Rally

I went to the Homecoming Pep Rally for the first time today, and it was so much fun!

Each class had prepared a song for the Lip-Sync Battle.  

Freshman girls did Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.

And they got their whole class involved with YMCA!

For the sophomore class, Sean and Billy prepared I've Had the Time of My Life, complete with the entire scene and choreography from Dirty Dancing.  It was a hit, for sure!

The junior class did a very long montage of several songs.

And the seniors finished things off with Eye of the Tiger, pitting our opponent for the game tonight against us in the boxing ring.  Every member of the senior class participated, and it was awesome!

Tate, in a wheelchair pushed by Ethan, was the perfect "ring girl," holding up the signs between rounds.

Ryan represented the Ridgeview Mustangs, and Adam represented the Tremont Turks.

It was really fun to see the seniors come together and celebrate their school!  They were all really excited about it!

Mr. Riggins swept up all the glitter.

Ryan addressed the school as captain of the football team and thanked everyone for supporting them and all the other fall sports and activities.

Coach Kennedy, Ryan, and Blaine led the crowd in the Viking skull chant to honor Mr. Campbell.

Mr. Benton played the bass drum for the chant.


Mr. Campbell appreciated it!

The pep band played!

Our buddy Reece jumped up to play the quints while Ryleigh was cheering, even though he's not in band anymore!

They also played the first song of their marching show.

The rally ended with a game of Ridgeview Catch (basically dodgeball) and the teachers beat the students.  It was so fun, and now everyone is all pepped up for the game tonight!
