Caeden's English teacher sent me this photo of him in class today. A classmate brought in some of her bunnies for a speech she was giving!
The school is doing a virtual awards video instead of an in-person awards night this year, and I was taking some photos of award winners after school today. Sylvia and Kyle received recognition for their involvement in ILMEA ensembles, and we just took a fun photo of the two of them together because they're buds.
Also, after school today Mr. Metz presented Sylvia with the McLeod-Wargo Theatre Scholarship!
And, Caeden handed me this because his "teacher told him to before it got destroyed."
Wrestling is in the spring this school year, and we can't go watch meets in-person unless they are at home. So tonight was the first HS meet and I watched Caeden on my phone. At least there is streaming. I was on my way back home from getting groceries in town and pulled in to a parking lot so Sylvia and I could watch. Screenshots for proof!
Though an actual dance is still not allowed to happen, the junior class planned a "Spring Fling" for prom tonight, and the students chose a court. Sylvia was honored to be chosen among her classmates.
She had to work today, but her manager let her leave early.
She rushed home and got ready for the event in record time!
She wore the dress she had planned to wear for prom last spring, and I think she looks so lovely in it!
There was a mix of emotions as she didn't want photos by herself and was sad she and Carter had decided he wouldn't attend with her. She was happy when Isabella and Sophia arrived to pick her up though.

Sylvia saw Lexi and knew she had made her own unique gown. She rushed up to her and they chatted about fashion and design and sewing.

The crown came with 2 bobby pins and Sylvia was trying to give it to me to take home, when everyone told her she had to wear it for the whole evening. Dawn and Kristen got it pinned on her after Kristen took pins out of her own hair to make sure it was secured! Such wonderful momma friends!
It's so nice to have a happy occasion and see this girl smiling so big!
Everyone changed into comfy clothes and gathered on the other side of the track for the hypnotists.
It was a perfectly beautiful evening to be outside outside!
The hypnotists gathered about a dozen volunteers and had everyone laughing hard for over an hour!
