On Sunday, our church had a "Sabbath Sunday" and did not meet. We chose to go to the Colfax United Methodist Church service at 11:00. Jacob's family has been attending there recently, as there is an energetic new pastor who is working hard to revive the congregation.
We enjoyed the service very much.
The kids went forward for the Children's message.
After church, Jacob came over for lunch. I had a pork roast in the crockpot and the kids helped make a cherry cheesecake while I got mashed potatoes going.
As we sat down to eat, Jeremy started to cough up food and went into the bathroom. We all thought he was getting sick until he came back to the kitchen and smacked the back of a chair and threw himself over it. He was legitimately choking! It was quite a scary couple minutes for all of us!! Thank the Lord he was able to dislodge the food, because none of the rest of us were any help. We are all really glad he is ok!!!
We relaxed at home the rest of the day, and watched movies and Caeden playing Xbox.

We started watching the Marvel series in chronological order again, since we have the first 9 movies on dvd or bluray now.
Yesterday, for New Year's Eve, Caeden and I stayed home while Jeremy took the girls and Jacob shopping at the mall. They had good luck at H&M and American Eagle. Then they stopped by Meijer and bought pizzas. The old people in the house were getting very sleepy long before midnight, and Jacob had to get home by 10pm curfew. So, the kids stayed up watching FRIENDS until midnight.
Today, we took down and put away all the Christmas decorations. For a few months, Jeremy has been wanting to try moving our living room around, so he and I did that today. We all crashed with some appetizers in the air fryer and watched some more Marvel movies. We decided we like the new room setup.
