Last week was SPLAT II!--VBS at our church.  Annah was old enough to go this year, and had a lot of fun.  She was especially excited that her neighbor friends, Ashley and Jacob, could join her most of the days!  I was a part of the worship team again this year, and even managed to escape being splatted this time!  (*whew!*)  

The theme of the week was "Love them anyway!" and was based on Matthew Chapter 5, and also the story of Rachel Scott, one of the victims of the Columbine High School shooting of '99.  It was a fantastic week, and the kids and adults involved all learned a lot.  (Jeremy got to spend some good quality time with Sylvia in the evenings too. :)

Goings on

Life at the Lopshire house has been busy lately!  Last night, Sylvia tried her first serving of baby rice cereal!  It seems like she was just born and shouldn't be old enough to eat from a spoon yet, but she is actually 3 weeks older than Annah was when she had her first cereal.  She was definitely ready, and grabs for the spoon herself.  

Annah really wanted to help feed Sylvia, and managed to give her a few spoonfuls.  I also gave her a bottle for the first time.  Jeremy has given her a few in the past month or so too.

    

Jeremy got his letter from American College this week, stating that his C.L.U. designation is now official.  Conferment will be in Honolulu in October!  It still doesn't seem really real to us that we're going yet, but we are counting down!

I've been busy helping with the new Celebration Choir program at church.  Monday night was the first rehearsal.  Despite the fact that I just felt like crying once it was over, it really did go pretty well.
